+Barbara Blättler using this papaya (which is green and not ripe) causes vasoconstriction, so both have some effects, depending on your situation.

no need for vulgar language folks. And the “if you don’t like it, don’t look” DOES NOT work in the situation. We don’t know the vulgar language is here until we see it. Freedom of speech have was NOT meant for this. Your right? How about other’s rights? So self-centered that you don’t care about other people? So it’s okay that no one cares about you either, right?

It’s extremely difficult in the United States to get green papaya. Even the hard green skinned papayas I buy from the grocery stores are somewhat ripe and sweet. For the preparation shown here, it’s green papaya which does have many health benefits. The ripe versions are also great but for other reasons.

Mamu Borah thank you for sharing! I’ve looked everywhere for that type of papaya, but I live just outside Philadelphia, and have only been able to find the big, sweet papaya. Is it OK to substitute? Thank You!
